Enjoy while you can

HOW TRUE IT IS
Another year has passed
And we're all a little older.
Last summer felt hotter,
And winter seems much colder.
I rack my brain for happy thoughts
To put down on my pad.
But lots of things that come to mind
Just make me kind of sad.

There was a time not long ago
When life was quite a blast.

Now I fully understand
About "Living in the Past".
We used to go to friends' homes,
Football games and lunches..
Now we go to therapy, to hospitals,
And after-funeral brunches.
We used to have hangovers,
From parties that were gay.

Now we suffer body aches

And sleep the night away.
We used to go out dining,
And couldn't get our fill.

Now we ask for doggie bags,

Come home and take a pill.
We used to often travel
To places near and far.
Now we get backaches

From riding in the car.
We used to go out shopping
For new clothing at the Mall.
But, now we never bother...
All the sizes are too small.
That, my friend is how life is.
And now my tale is told.
So, enjoy each day and live it up...
Before you're too darn old!!
So enjoy it while you can...

Live, Laugh and Love!

Ferrari pit crew injured - fuel hose stucked at Massa's car - Singapore Grand Prix

A dramatic accident happened to Ferrari team during the pit stop at the Singapore Grand Prix yesterday. One Ferrari pit crew was dragged down due the the unreleasable fuel hose while filling the fuel for Felipe Massa's car, Massa was given the green light to go that caused the crew was dragged together with the fuel hose. The pit crew was sent to the medical center immediately, after the check up the team told the media the crew was OK. Thank God he is ok.

This race is really an unlucky race for Felipe Massa, first was the fuel hose incidence then the drive through penalty. After the race he told the media he is not angry with the crew and he wants to go to see the crew, because for F1 race it is actually the team work, he can't do anything without the support of the crews.

One very sad thing i saw in this incidence was the reporter was more concern about who to blame rather than care about if the crew is injured during the interview.

Update 28 Sept 08 - Josef Fritzl go back to the cellar for the first time

The Austrian incest monter Josef Fritzl was escorted by the a big number of police officers back to the dungeon for him to reconstruction his crimes for the first since April 08 when the incest scandal was surfaced.

According to the Austrian police Josef Fritzl has confessed to imprisoned his daughter Elisabeth Fritzl when she was 18 and repeatedly raped her in the dungeon during the capture of 24yrs and also fathered her seven children.

The Austrian officials say the visit of Josef Fritzl to the dungeon partly to determine if the concrete-reinforced steel door to the dungeon could be opened from the outside as the Josef Fritzl's lawyers have claimed that Fritzl' daughter Elisabeth and her children could have left if necessary.

But investigators say the door could be sealed off with metal bars.

Transparent butterfly

It comes from Central America and is found from Mexico to Panama. It is quite common in its zone, but it not easy to find because of its transparent wings, which is a natural camouflage mechanism.
A butterfly with transparent wings is rare and beautiful. As delicate as finely blown glass, the presence of this rare tropical gem is used by rain forest ecologists as an indication of high habitat quality and its demise alerts them of ecological change. Rivaling the refined beauty of a stained glass window, the translucent wings of the Glasswing butterfly shimmer in the sunlight like polished panes of turquoise, orange, green, and red.

All things beautiful do not have to be full of color to be noticed: in life that which is unnoticed has the most power.

Mind Your Language - The First Lesson

Remember the old English series - Mind Your Language?

This is a real great series, it started to air in the British Television in 1977, it gives a lot of memories. But it is sad to hear that Mr. Brown(Barry Joseph Evans) already passed away in 1997 at the age of 53.

This is a real hilarious series. Now let's walk down the memory lane

Mind Your Language

The First Lesson -1

The First Lesson - 2

The First Lesson - 3

What is love?

When you see someone in need,
Love demands a loving deed;
Don’t just say you love him true,
Prove it by the deeds you do. —Sper

Compassion puts love into action.

A minute that might save your life, family and friends from abductions

Everyone should take 5 minutes to read this. It may save your life or a loved one's life from abductions.

Crucial

Because of recent abductions
in daylight hours, refresh yourself
of these things to do
in an emergency situation...
This is for you,
and for you to share
with your wife,
your children,
everyone you know.
After reading these 8 crucial tips,
forward them to someone you care about.
It never hurts to be careful
in this crazy world we live in.

1
. Tip from Tae Kwon Do :
The elbow is the strongest point
on your body..
If you are close enough to use it, do!

2.
Learned this from a tourist guide
in New Orleans
If a robber asks for your wallet and/or purse,
DO NOT HAND IT TO HIM.
Toss it away from you....
chances are that he is more interested
in your wallet and/or purse than you,
and he will go for the wallet/purse.
RUN LIKE MAD IN THE OTHER DIRECTION!
3. If you are ever thrown into the trunk of a car,
kick out the back tail lights and stick your arm out the hole
and start waving like crazy.
The driver won't see you, but everybody else will.
This has saved lives.

4.
Women have a tendency to get into their cars
after shopping, eating, working, etc., and just sit
(doing their checkbook, or making a list, etc.
DON'T DO THIS!)
The predator will be watching you, and this
is the perfect opportunity for him to get in
on the passenger side, put a gun to your head,
and tell you where to go.
AS SOON AS YOU GET INTO YOUR CAR ,
LOCK THE DOORS AND LEAVE.

If someone

is in the car
with a gun
to your head
DO NOT DRIVE OFF,
repeat:
DO NOT DRIVE OFF!
Instead gun the engine
and speed into anything, wrecking the car.
Your Air Bag will save you.
If the person is in the back seat
they will get the worst of it .
As soon as the car crashes
bail out and run.
It is better than having them find your body
in a remote location.

5
. A few notes about getting
into your car in a parking lot,
or parking garage:
A.) Be aware:
look around you,
look into your car,
at the passenger side floor ,
and in the back seat
B.) If you are parked next to a big van,
enter your car from the passenger door.
Most serial killers attack their victims
by pulling them into their vans while the women
are attempting to get into their cars.
C.) Look at the car
parked on the driver's side of your vehicle,
and the passenger side.. If a male is sitting alone
in the seat nearest your car, you may want to walk back
into the mall, or work, and get a
guard/policeman to walk you back out.
IT IS ALWAYS BETTER TO BE SAFE THAN SORRY. (And better paranoid than dead.)

6.
ALWAYS take the elevator
instead of the stairs.
(Stairwells are horrible places to be alone
and the perfect crime spot.
This is especially true at NIGHT!)

7.
If the predator has a gun
and you are not under his control,
ALWAYS RUN!
The predator will only hit you (a running target)
4 in 100 times; And even then,
it most likely WILL NOT be a vital organ.
RUN, Preferably in a zig -zag pattern!

8.
As women, we are always trying
to be sympathetic:
STOP
It may get you raped, or killed.
Ted Bundy, the serial killer, was a good-looking,
well educated man, who ALWAYS played
on the sympathies of unsuspecting women.
He walked with a cane, or a limp, and often
asked 'for help' into his vehicle or with his vehicle,
which is when he abducted
his next victim.

I'd like you
to forward this to all the women you know.
It may save a life. A candle is not dimmed by lighting another candle.
I was going to send this to the ladies only,
but guys, if you love your mothers, wives, sisters, daughters, etc.

American Dieter's Storm UK Guy's Web Site After Web E-Book Diet Appears on National Women's Magazine Cover

Already a hit in England, Simon Lovell's weight loss ebook 'The Lunch Box Diet' made the cover of USA's 'Woman's World' Magazine and women went a little bit mad for it!

Exeter, UK, (PRWEB) September 14, 2008 -- Once overweight and bullied at school, Simon Lovell changed his life around and decided he wanted to help overweight people. Never did he realize just the impact he would have on American women. His internet e-book, The Lunch Box Diet which in a recent edition of the nation's weekly Woman's World Magazine (Sept 15th Issue) reviewers said produced 'gold star results' was featured on the cover and Simon was flocked with visitors.

Simon, who is now regularly featured in the UK media for producing the diet, hit the spot with US dieters in the weekly magazine after the publication's editors happen to stumble across the web site on the internet.

"It's all gone a bit mad" says Simon. "I knew that the issue was coming out because of the interview with the publication, but as soon as it reached the shelves my web site went upside down. The response has been immense and am now having to take extra time away from my Personal Training to respond to comments from customers".

The Lunch Box Diet started as a simple three page document for Simon's clients and was first picked up by Elle Magazine in the UK calling it 'The Best Diet Ever' and 'A way of Life'. Simon has subsequently signed a six figure publishing deal with Harper Collins in the UK thanks to the eating plan's super-healthy and simple approach to dieting.

The full feature on the diet can be found at Lunch Box Diet UK or Lunch Box Diet US

Open the windows after you enter your car

According to research done by a U.C., the car dashboard, sofa, air freshener will emit Benzene, a cancer causing toxin (carcinogen). In addition to causing cancer, it poisons your bones, causes anemia, and reduces white blood cells. Prolonged exposure will cause Leukemia, increasing the risk of cancer. May also cause miscarriage.

Acceptable Benezene level indoors is 50 mg per sq. ft. A car parked indoors with the windows closed will contain 400-800 mg of Benezene. If parked outdoors under the sun at a temperature above 60 degrees F, the Benezene level goes up to 2000-4000 mg, 40 times the acceptable level. The people inside the car will inevitably inhale an excess amount of the toxin.

It is recommended that you open the windows and door to give time for the interior to air out before you enter. Benzene is a toxin that affects your kidney and liver, and is difficult for your body to expel.

Female heart attack's unusual symptom

Got this email from a friend, i guess this is an important information to share with others. This is from a nurse she shares her heart attack experience that shows some unusual symptom of heart attack

NURSE'S HEART ATTACK EXPERIENCE

I am an ER nurse and this is the best description of this event that I have ever heard. Please read, pay attention, and send it on!

FEMALE HEART ATTACKS

I was aware that female heart attacks are different,
but this is the best description I've ever read.

Women and heart attacks (Myocardial infarction). Did
you know that women rarely have the same dramatic
symptoms that men have when experiencing heart attack ...
you know, the sudden stabbing pain in the chest, the cold
sweat, grabbing the chest & dropping to the floor that we
see in the movies. Here is the story of one woman's
experience with a heart attack.

'I had a heart attack at about 10 :30 PM with NO prior exertion,

NO prior emotional trauma that one would suspect might've
brought it on.

I was sitting all snugly & warm on a cold evening, with
my purring cat in my lap, reading an interesting story
my friend had sent me, and actually thinking, 'A-A-h,
this is the life, all cozy and warm in my soft, cushy Lazy
Boy with my feet propped up.

A moment later, I felt that awful sensation of indigestion,
when you've been in a hurry and grabbed a bite of sandwich
and washed it down with a dash of water, and that hurried
bite seems to feel like you've swallowed a golf ball going
down the esophagus in slow motion and it is most
uncomfortable. You realize you shouldn't have gulped it
down so fast and needed to chew it more thoroughly and this
time drink a glass of water to hasten its progress down to the
stomach. This was my initial sensation---the only trouble was
that I hadn't taken a bite of anything since about 5:00 p.m.

After it seemed to subside, the next sensation was like
little squeezing motions that seemed to be racing up my SPINE
(hind-sight, it was probably my aorta spasming), gaining speed
as they continued racing up and under my sternum (breast bone,
where one presses rhythmically when administering CPR).

This fascinating process continued on into my throat and
branched out into both jaws. 'AHA!! NOW I stopped puzzling
about what was happening -- we all have read and/or heard
about pain in the jaws being one of the signals of an MI
happening, haven't we? I said aloud to myself and the cat,
Dear God, I think I'm having a heart attack!

I lowered the footrest dumping the cat from my lap, started
to take a step and fell on the floor instead. I thought to myself,
If this is a heart attack, I shouldn't be walking into the next
room where the phone is or anywhere else ... but, on the other
hand, if I don't, nobody will know that I need help, and if I
wait any longer I may not be able to get up in moment...

I pulled myself up with the arms of the chair, walked slowly
into the next room and dialed the Paramedics .. I told her I
thought I was having a heart attack due to the pressure
building under the sternum and radiating into my jaws. I didn't
feel hysterical or afraid, just stating the facts. She said she
was sending the Paramedics over immediately, asked if the
front door was near to me, and if so, to unbolt the door and
then lie down on the floor where they could see me when they
came in.

I unlocked the door and then laid down on the floor as instructed

and lost consciousness, as I don't remember the medics coming
in, their examination, lifting me onto a gurney or getting me
into their ambulance, or hearing the call they made to
St. Jude ER on the way, but I did briefly awaken when
we arrived and saw that the Cardiologist was already
there in his surgical blues and cap, helping the medics
pull my stretcher out of the ambulance. He was bending
over me asking questions (probably something like
'Have you taken any medications?') but I couldn't make
my mind interpret what he was saying, or form an answer,
and nodded off again, not waking up until the Cardiologist
and partner had already threaded the teeny angiogram
balloon up my femoral artery into the aorta and into my
heart where they installed 2 side by side stents to hold
open my right coronary artery.

'I know it sounds like all my thinking and actions a t home
must have taken at least 20-30 minutes before calling the
Paramedics, but actually it took perhaps 4-5 minutes
before the call, and both the fire station and St. Jude
are only minutes away from my home, and my Cardiologist
was already to go to the OR in his scrubs and get going
on restarting my heart (which had stopped somewhere
between my arrival and the procedure) and installing the
stents.

'Why have I written all of this to you with so much
detail? Because I want all of you who are so important
in my life to know what I learned first hand.'

1. Be aware that something very different is happening
in your body not the usual men's symptoms but
inexplicable things happening (until my sternum and
jaws got into the act). It is said that many more
women than men die of their first (and last) MI
because they didn't know they were having one and
commonly mistake it as indigestion, take some Maalox
or other anti-heartburn preparation and go to bed,
hoping they'll feel better in the morning when they
wake up .. which doesn't happen. My female friends,
your symptoms might not be exactly like mine, so I
advise you to call the Paramedics if ANYTHING is
unpleasantly happening that you've not felt before.
It is better to have a 'false alarm' visitation than to
risk your life guessing what it might be!

2. Note that I said 'Call the Paramedics.' And if you can
take an asprin. Ladies, TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE!

Do NOT try to drive yourself to the ER - you are a hazard
to others on the road.

Do NOT have your panicked husband who will be speeding
and looking anxiously at what's happening with you instead
of the road.

Do NOT call your doctor -- he doesn't know where you
live and if it's at night you won't reach him anyway, and
if it's daytime, his assistants (or answering service) will
tell you to call the Paramedics. He doesn't carry the equipment
in his car that you need to be saved! The Paramedics do,
principally OXYGEN that you need ASAP. Your Dr.will be notified later.

3. Don't assume it couldn't be a heart attack because you have
a normal cholesterol count. Research has discovered that a
cholesterol elevated reading is rarely the cause of an MI
(unless it's unbelievably high and/or accompanied
by high blood pressure). MIs are usually caused
by long-term stress and inflammation in the
body, which dumps all sorts of deadly hormones
into your system to sludge things up in there.
Pain in the jaw can wake you from a sound sleep.
Let's be careful and be aware. The more we know,
the better chance we could survive.

A cardiologist says if everyone who gets this mail
sends it to 10 people, you can be sure that we'll save
at least one life.

**Please be a true friend and send this article to all
your friends (male & female) you care about!**

What on earth are we here for ? Nick Vujicic has the answer

All of us go through ups and downs in life and sometimes we will start to blame on others and some will have doubt about what is the purpose to live? Some go through hardship in life and even thinking of giving up their life because they thought what they go through is something that unbearable.

Okapi - The Unicorn like Exotic animal in Africa

Some photos of Okapi have been captured by the Zoological Society of London (ZSL) for the first time in Virunga National Park in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

The conventional way of doing survey on Okapi was only through the droppings and other signs of their presence as this type of animal is shy and rare.

The okapi, which have a black, giraffe-like tongue and zebra-like stripes on their behind, were last spotted in the Virunga National Park nearly 50 years ago on the west bank of the Semliki River.

Okapi has a dark long tongue that is long enough to clean its eyes and ears!
